The aim was to create a Christmas installation for the Budapest Palace of Art that serves its purpose while avoiding Christmas cliches. We ended up making a Christmas tree installation from 365 sleds. The sleds were handed out to children afterwards.

Maxim was one of the originators of this Christmas tree installation concept. While the focus was on creating something original and useful but free from the Christmas cliches we are all so sick and tired of, it was also very important for us to find a way to give something to children in need on the occasion of this feast of love. This is how we came up with the idea to build this 11-meter tree made up of 365 sleds, each representing a day of the year and reminding us to care about our beloved ones not only on Christmas Eve.
Thanks to the Hungarian Telekom company, the sleds were given away to the children of the SOS Children’s Village two weeks after Christmas.
